Hardscape landscape refers to the built environment of paved areas like walkways, patios, fountains, fireplaces, fire pits and retaining walls. Materials can be stone, interlocking stone, slate, and concrete resurfacing such as 'Jewelstone'. From an aesthetic perspective, hardscaping allows us to construct landscaping features that would otherwise be impossible due to soil erosion, or that compensate for backyard entertaining and esthetics.
